Life Lately in Quarantine

This is what blogging looks like now. Baby on me, standing to keep moving so said baby will continue to snooze. Two more babies behind me in swings. Nap times are precious real estate of time and especially precious when both brothers are at Nana and Grampy's house! So I'm taking this second to blog....before feeding #800000000 begins.

The darn Coronavirus has put a damper of everyone's spring but we are not complaining. We are healthy and together and we pray for those who are suffering. It makes for very long days and fast nights (ha!) and entertaining two toddlers and taking care of three infants is made even harder by not being able to go anywhere or have the help that we had planned on having due to this virus. Praying it ends soon!
Since preschool is out for the boys, I've tried to come up with some activities to keep Henry learning but to be honest, there's just a lot of play and television happening right now, which I'm fine with. I also cracked up at this meme because with boys, it's 100% true! Wrestling all day long. I'm good with it until it's almost bed time and then I lose it. What is with boys?!?!

On the nice days, we've done our best to spend at least and hour or two outside. We even play in the rain. Whatever we can do to get some energy out!

Easter was a beautiful day despite not being able to worship in our church with our congregation. We know that the whole body of Christ was celebrating that beautiful day in their homes with their families and we prayed to be connected to everyone in our praise and hearts. It will be such a sweet moment to be back together in our little church building and see our church family again.

We dressed up the kids in their Easter outfits just to go have dinner at my mom and dads. They looked so adorable and I actually was able to get a decent one of all 5 kids! Even if the boys had to be bribed with cookies.

Claire, Audrey and Kate

We've spent a lot of time just enjoying our moments together. Sure, 50% of this time is chaos and frustrating but the other 50% is really lovely! Ha! We miss our family and friends very much. For Henry and I (the extroverts of our family) this is very hard. I have to get out of the house at least once a day or I will go nuts.

My buddy and I got out of the house to grab a milkshake the other day! It was his first from "Old McDonalds"! Lets just say he enjoyed it.

(A, C and K- enjoying some time with daddy and I before bath)

Kate the great all smiley in the morning!

Kate and Claire (who has the best faces)

A rare moment that they were all happy in their 4moms contraptions. We have one of every baby equipment out there. They liked these at first but now it seems they prefer the regular swing or lets be honest...someone's arms. Ha!

Graham has found the dress up clothes. He decided to be Buzz this particular morning.

Claire, Kate and Audrey in their cute onesies from their cousin Finley! These girls have the cutest clothes, I get them dressed every day just so they can wear the outfits! Their closet is full of dresses, once the weather gets consistently warmer we will be breaking those out!

Hard to get this kid to smile. We spent FOUR hours at Lazy 5 Ranch one afternoon. That is a story for another day. Lets just say we won't be going back any time soon!

I hope you are all holding up well and making the most of the time you have with your family. When this is over, I can't wait to give my family and friends the biggest smile and hugs! Praying you all stay safe and healthy!

Christmas and some updates

Christmas 2019 flew by! This year was very fun- Henry was very into Santa this year and understood the idea that he was coming to our house. He was so cute about picking the perfect cookie and leaving the carrots for the reindeer. Apparently the getting up early starts even at 3 years old! He was rip roaring ready to go at 6 am!

Christmas jammies are my favorite! Burt's Bees had the cutest ones at Target this year and I love that they match without actually matching. Plus, they are pretty gender neutral so the girls can eventually wear them as well! I also bought one more stocking to make our Pottery Barn Kids collection complete with 5(!). Mom and Dad no longer will have a stocking. Ha!

Anything Toy Story is a hit with these two!

Aunt Kara and Uncle Ives sent some fake snowballs and I'm pretty sure it was the hit gift on Christmas eve! The whole family had a huge snowball fight.

Santa brought the boys a play kitchen! They have one at my moms but I figured having one at our house doesn't hurt either. Plus again...it will be used over and over by the next three as well!

Henry was gifted a doctor's kit from his Aunt Danielle and Uncle Blake and he has played with it everyday. He's very into make believe right now.

My Christmas morning studs all ready for church. I love these outfits and purposely picked simple red and white because I figured they can wear them all winter (V-day, etc.).

Sweet Graham couldn't hang on Christmas eve morning. He NEVER falls asleep anywhere other than his bed or the car so this was a first. We looked down and he was passed out between us. Such a sweet sleeping baby he is.

This year Henry got his first "games"! Hungry Hungry Hippos and Pop the Pig. I've been on the hunt for the game Elefun as well. I figured it's good to have some things I can play with him that don't involve me having to move a lot.

We've been doing a lot of relaxing which is nice! I'm at a point in this pregnancy where no position is really comfortable for long.

I was smack dab 30 weeks on Christmas day! I saw my doctor yesterday and these girls are growing good and everything looks great. They have scheduled my c-section for January 27th, a day after my birthday! What a great late birthday gift, right? I'm getting nervous about the c-section because I've never had surgery before. I'm sure everything will go fine. I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that this birth will be so different from my boys. There will be so many more people in the operating room and the girls will most likely be whisked away into the NICU for monitoring. I'm just praying for a smooth delivery and that the girls can be as healthy as possible and that we don't have to have a long NICU stay! Starting next week I will be on modified bed rest.

At our last appointment, the ultrasound tech and doctor were trying very hard to get a reading of the girls blood flow levels in their brains (they look at SO MUCH every time) and sweet baby Kate would not cooperate one bit. You could actually see her shaking her head as if saying, "No way lady" while they were trying to get her reading. It was hilarious. It's amazing to watch them on the screen and see all the limbs and heads and bodies just moving all around like crazy. It's a miracle that they all fit in there!

My sweet friend Marie has been helping me organize the girls nursery and the boys closet. She has been a godsend, especially with  my lack of energy or time to get it done myself with two toddlers running around!

These girls have so many clothes! They are going to be quite the fashionistas. I keep thinking we have WAY to much but then I remind myself that it's all for three!

These sweet prints will be going above each girl's crib. In the beginning I think we will have them in one crib but we'll see what happens when they are home!

Thank you for all the prayers, gifts, love and help that we've been given already! We are so thankful and appreciative for all of it!
