Christmas Break part 1

Christmas break is always so fun. We've been so busy that this will have to be a two part
post to cover it all!
This year, Josh and I decided to go to Michigan to celebrate Christmas with his family. We love spending time with our nieces and nephews and watching them experience Christmas was very sweet. My brother-in-law Brad is a whiz in the kitchen and he made us a delicious Christmas Eve meal. I think he's really a southerner at heart because he sure makes some good creamed corn (and greens and grits). Addison and Angel played Clue and Jenga with us. Aidan was happy with any kind of train or vehicle. His uncles were kind enough to help him put his toys together and play with him.  They are the perfect age to play games! Santa was good to them and they were so thankful for everything that they received.

Josh and I got Addy a teacher set. She had me pretend to be her student. Apparently, I'm not good at math! Ha!

Christmas Day was spent with family and friends. Our morning started off with Christmas Day service at church. It was so wonderful to worship and start the festive day at church! We tried to get a good picture with Addy and Aidan.....that was not happening. Enjoy the outtakes! Ha!

After church we all went over to Uncle Pete's office for Christmas with the Cook side of the family. His office is pretty neat. It had a beautiful kitchen, a huge table set-up, lots of comfy couches and tvs, and a small theater! We had fun catching up with each other and enjoying yummy food. A bunch of us watched "War Room" in the theater, which was an excellent movie. I thought it'd be hokie but it was really good. Josh's Aunt Michele had a cute game called, "It's a Dickle", which is a bunch of candy that is saran wrapped together in layers. I don't remember the rules but it was a fun game.

Part two of Christmas break is coming soon! I hope you all enjoyed the holiday with all your loved ones!
