Whirlwind weekend

Whew! What a fun weekend I had! I was blessed to be able to fly up to Detroit this past weekend and spend time with my family and friends. I hate that Michigan is so far away from North Carolina because I would love to see everyone more often.
I was able to see my cousin Alyssa and her sweet new baby girl, Cora Rose! What a darling baby she is. It's amazing to see someone you've known their whole life and love like a sister become a mom. My Grammy came to visit her with me and it was so special to see all those generations together. Baby Cora is blessed to have both great grandmothers still in her life.

I spend time Saturday with my Aunt Holly and cousin Thais. We went to breakfast at Morning Glory Coffee and Pastry Shop. My good friend Jenn is the genius creator of all things yummy there. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and a whole slew of pastries! Oh my goodness... my sweet tooth was satisfied for sure on Valentine's Day!

Sunday my cousins, grandmother and I drove out to Ann Arbor to meet our other newest addition to the family- Molly! It was so special to see the two babies "meet" each other for the first time! Matt and Meg were such gracious hosts. They made us the most delicious lunch!  Baby Molly is so beautiful with big blue eyes and the best smile. I was neat to see the difference between them that just 3 months can make. I can only imagine what fun Molly and Cora will have together some day. Some of my most favorite memories involve my sweet cousins and I hope they are blessed by each other as much as we are!

The weekend was so fun that I did not want it to end. Monday morning Jenn picked me up and treated me to a yummy breakfast at Toast. I got to see baby Cora one last time before heading to the airport. Getting home was another story altogether...let's just say that Charlotte's ICE storm set my travel plans back by a day or so. But I'm home now and so glad that I had the time to spend with loved ones.
