What We're Eating This Week.....
Here's some of the meals on the menu.
Monday- Homemade Shepherds Pie (G and H LOVE this)
Tuesday- Sausage, Peppers and Onions with pierogis
Wednesday- yummy gourmet grilled cheese from the Carolina Smash Truck!
Thursday- Burgers and veggies on the grill
Friday- Josh is holding a wedding rehearsal so it'll be me and the boys. Probably pizza. Ha!
What I'm Reminiscing about....
All the friendships I made through my church youth group.With my dad's recent retirement, I can't help but be thankful for all the friendships I've made from traveling around with him over different weekends. I always loved that time with my dad. I can remember even as a young little girl getting to go with my dad to visit other congregations on a Sunday. He would call me his co-pilot. If it was in the summer, we'd always stop at Dairy Queen after! Ha! Sweet memories. A lot of people always ask if we regret our dad traveling all the time (for church, missionary trips, and work) and while we didn't see him as much as we would have liked, I know that God blessed our family for that sacrifice and I wouldn't trade it at all.
We celebrated my dad a few weekends ago. We had family and friends from all over come to visit and just spend time with each other. It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
What I'm Loving.....
I'm loving this kiddo's toothy grin! Graham's top and bottom four are popped out and they touch when he smiles. He has also taken to clicking them together. It's hilarious. Cutest face ever. I'm asked all the time if he really is as happy as he looks. Yes, he truly is. When he's not, he's sick. I'm blessed I guess!
What We've Been Up To....
These boys are keeping me busy. I'm lucky if I can get dinner made. I'm sure Josh gets tired of my calls at 4:30 asking when he's going to be home.
What is it about cooking dinner and kids just having to be under your feet? I equal parts love and hate it!
We went to the pool last weekend for the first time with the boys. Henry got right in and seemed to remember how to maneuver around with his puddle jumper. Graham took quite a while to warm up to the pool. It was pretty cold, so that might have been the reason for his aversion.
These were shots from Mother's Day morning before church. Real life. Blurry. Someone is crying. But I'm so blessed and thankful. To think 3 years ago I found out I was pregnant after 7 years of trying, many IUI's and 3 rounds of IVF.
What I'm Dreading....
Nothing! Summer get here! I can't say I'm dreading this but it definitely makes me teary. I'm finishing out this year of looping with my class and it's bittersweet. They were precious and I'll always treasure the two years I had with them. I'm a lucky teacher. Back to Kindergarten I go next year!
They created zoo habitats/enclosures with legos and play animals the day after our trip to Riverbanks Zoo. Such imagination.
They all love my boys and are excited when they visit. Graham LOVES the attention and Henry likes the toys. Ha!
What I'm Working On....
Typical end of school year teacher things. Assessments, organizing the room for summer and so much more. I've been pinning ideas on Pinterest for our school's theme next year. It's a favorite of mine...travel!

What I'm Excited About...
We've confirmed our travel plans for this summer. We are going to Minneapolis for a week in July. Josh's sister and family live there and we are so excited to visit. It's so beautiful there in the summer and there are so many fun things to do. Looking forward to spending time with our niece and spending lots of time outside exploring!

This book was so good. Even if I wasn't a boy mom, this book would have helped me as a classroom teacher and someone who is around kids. It definitely taught me just how differently boys are wired compared to girls.
What I'm Wearing.....
Aren't these the cutest?? I can find the cutest jewelry at Walmart and you can't be the price. I think these look way more expensive than they were.
Clothes wise I'm wearing lots of t-shirts and shorts. I'm ready to be in summer mode. Let's be honest as well...be the time I'm showered, dressed, hair all done and I chase the boys around, I'm hot and sweaty again.
What I'm Doing This Weekend.....
Enjoying the long weekend with my boys. Josh is also holding a wedding this Saturday so we will get a little evening away from the boys.
What's I'm Looking Forward To Next Month....
Josh and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. We are planning a "stay-cation" while my parents keep the boys. You know you're a parent when sleeping in til 7 sounds like a luxury. 10 years seems so long yet it went by so quickly. Every day with my guy is a gift. He knows me better than I know myself sometimes. I'm glad that God blessed me with Josh. He's a wonderful partner to share life with!
