Haircut!! It was time. While I loved my long hair I'm not a ponytail kind of girl and Henry was starting to grab it all the time. Shorter = easier. It feels so bouncy, healthy and looks so shiny! Here's to the bob (and the wonderful feeling of someone washing and styling my hair. Oh, the luxury).
My usual shower and primping routine at home has me all like....(see below)
Speaking of hair, I adore this kiddo's bedhead each morning. Cracks me up. He must get it from me. Hey- at least we have hair (ahem..Josh...).
Reading to Henry. He's finally starting to tolerate being read too. I found in the morning he is more interested in looking at the pictures so we try it after his first feeding now. You can't have a teacher for a mother and not love reading! Ha!
Some of our (well my) favorites for babies/toddlers are:
No, No, Dinos by Kate Stone.
Cute story about Dinosaurs eating all kinds of junk food. It has fun flaps that lift to show what the dinos are munching on. This one always gets a smile.
Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
This is a lift the flap book and it is a fun story. Great introduction to descriptive words for little ones.
Good Night Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
A classic. Henry loves the black and white pages the best and I like the simple soothing text that's perfect for bedtime!
Daddy was out of town for 3 days this week so Grammy (my mom) came and stayed overnight with Henry and I. I'm a big chicken about staying alone at night right now. It was comforting to have her there. Henry loves his Grammy too. We tried out the bumbo but he's not quite big enough for it yet. I have a feeling he will really like sitting in it once he's able.
That face! Ha!
Look how happy he was to see his daddy once again. Reunited and it feels so good was playing in my head! Ha!
You may have noticed that Josh is home a lot. Unfortunately he has been out of a job since the end of October. While this has been the biggest blessing in regards to spending time with Henry and I (especially through the newborn stage) he is itching to find employment. I'm sharing this in hopes that you will add us to your prayers. We know that God has a great plan and we thank him already for the doors he will open up!
This kiddo turning 11 weeks was a favorite. He's so fun! He starting sticking his tongue back at us. It is so cute. He's starting to chunk up now- double chin and little thigh rolls. When he smiles his whole face lights up! I'm still so in awe that God answered my prayer and gave me this sweet boy! He is everything I could have wished for and more.
Happy Weekend!!
Check back in a few days, I'm working on "A Day In the Life" post that will walk through what a day is like at the Lindstedt house right now. I have enjoyed reading posts from other bloggers who have done this. Nice to see a glimpse into the day of others and is a great record to look back on someday when in a different stage of life.
