Life lately and favorite baby products so far!

Hello everyone! Everyday I think of all the things I'd like to blog about and then *pouf* the day is done and I haven't had a minute to sit and type! I'm taking advantage of Josh holding Mr. Henry to type up a quick post.

We are enjoying the beautiful weather we've had the past couple of days. H loves being worn in the wrap so we walked around the outlet mall like this for an hour or two.

Since my profession is teaching and I have to be at school early, I miss all the good morning television. The first nursing session of the day is spent with Al Roker and the Today show peeps. I can't believe I've been missing this my whole life! Ha! Please ignore the holiday decor still on the mantle. I'll get to it eventually.

I posted this on Instagram and Facebook the other day. I just melt when I see these two together. They clearly adore each other. Blessed twice!

I'm afraid to even type this in case I jinx myself but we've had about a week (minus a day or two) of Henry sleeping from 9:30/10- 5:30/6:30. It's AMAZING. I love my early morning time with Henry while Josh sleeps a little more. He's really started to mimic facial expressions and cooing. We love seeing him give out lots of big smiles too. He's just in the best mood in the morning.

I thought I'd post what my favorite baby products have been these past two months. There are so many products out there that it can be overwhelming when you register for baby stuff. These are things that I've used the most so far and I'm sure there will be things added to the list later as Henry grows.

Breastfeeding obviously takes up a lot of my time. These products have been lifesavers!
Double pumping bra- hands free pumping! Helps me to be able to multitask or eat dinner! Ha!
Medela Pump- if you are having a baby and are going to breastfeed make sure to check with your insurance, you can get a great pump for free!
My Brest Friend nursing pillow- helps keep the baby in a good position without ruining your posture and back! I have a Boppy but prefer this pillow instead.

1. Diaper Genie- this was one of the products that when I asked around 50 percent of friends loved and 50 percent could do without. For us, it's awesome. The nursery does not smell like dirty diapers at all and it's very easy to load and use with one hand.

2. Nose Frida- takes the place of those snot sucker bulbs (yuck). We use this with saline spray when Henry sounds stuffy and works like a charm. Not going to say that he loves having it done by any means but it takes care of the problem. Winter baby= some snotty nose moments.

3. Halo Sleep sack Swaddle- LOVE, love, love! Henry always has his hands near his face and when he sleeps unswaddled he tends to startle himself a lot. We used the Aden and Anias swaddle blankets for a while but he's a houdini and gets his arms out of them. The Halo sleep sack swaddle has nice strong Velcro that keeps his arms in. It can also be used with his arms out as he gets bigger and loses the startle reflex.

4. Summer Infant Video Monitor- this was an item that Josh and I weren't sure we were going to need. We figured that Henry's room was only steps away and we'd hear him if he cried. He started off sleeping in our room for the first 5 weeks and then last week we moved him into this crib. Thank goodness for this monitor! At night if we hear him make a peep we just hit the button and we can see if he's really awake or just stirring in his sleep.

5. Crane Cold Mist Humidifier- helps keep the air from being so dry in Henry's room. Also adds a little white noise as well.

6. Boon Grass drying rack- We use this constantly for bottles and breast pump parts. A tip for any Aldi's shoppers. Last week I found an Aldi brand grass drying rack IDENTICAL to the Boon one for way less! I think the Aldi one was around $5.00! Can't beat that!

I hope you all have a great week! Hopefully I'll get to do a Five for Friday post this week...but can't make any promises! Ha!
