Josh and I tried out Nellie's Southern Kitchen in Belmont today. It's a brand new restaurant started by the father of the Jonas Brothers. The food is southern and so delicious! The atmosphere was very comfy-chic and there was a really great live band. It was so fun to watch as servers randomly would go up and sing along with the band. Of course, when the restaurant is owned by a music family- you know the music and talent will be good. One of the servers hopped up on stage and belted out a fabulous rendition of Dolly Parton's "Jolene". One of my favorites. We will definitely be going back.
And for your listening pleasure, here's one my favorite covers of "Jolene" by Norah Jones, John Mayer and Keith Urban. Enjoy!
Stopped by school today and was overjoyed to see someone had moved all my furniture back into my room! Yay! I can't lift or move anything heavy of course but at least it's halfway there by being in the room. I fiddled around for a while organizing math games, making a to do list on my whiteboard and sketching out my classroom set up. July is the month for classroom setup in my world. (Insert giddy smile.) I know it's still summer but I enjoy having a clean and all set up classroom by the beginning of our workdays in August.
We celebrated a very low key Fourth of July. Which was just fine by us! We had a busy weekend in Atlanta celebrating Frankie and Kay Kay's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and we enjoyed it very much. Long and busy weekends wear out this preggo lady. I think I took at least 3 separate naps on Monday! Ha!
Josh and I were blessed to have an ultrasound yesterday. It is so unreal to see something that is technically so tiny still yet looks like a real formed baby already! The doctor and ultrasound tech kept commenting on the baby's long legs (bottom pic). I had to laugh. I know this baby is going to be all my husband. Those Lindstedt genes are strong! Ha! Maybe it'll have something of mine? We'll see.
In the pic below the baby is on it's belly. Legs are to the left, head to the right.
Those are some long legs.
I honestly looked bigger at 10 weeks than now but I think a lot of that had to do with all the extra hormones I was still taking which made me way bloated. Ha!
I'm probably going to document the pregnancy more on the blog than other social media. I just remember how it felt to see constant updates on Facebook etc. It's not the most fun place for a person battling infertility. So, if you'd like updates please keep checking the blog!
I need to buy stock in Tums. Anyone know of any other thing that works better than Tums for heartburn? I've got it bad. I literally eat these all day long. Not probably the best thing. Oops.
