Friday Favorites (on a most special Friday)

I'm linking up with the above today! It's been a while since I've done a post and there's been a lot happening!

I love these lyrics from Kari Jobe's song, Forever. If you haven't heard it on the radio, check it out. What perfect song to be playing over this passion week. We are learning it as a small group to sing in church next month and the version we are singing just gives me chills. So beautiful. When I was little I always thought Good Friday was the most depressing part of the passion week but as I've gotten older, my understanding has grown. It's still sad that Christ had to endure all that pain and suffering for my sins but how awesome and humbling is that? That sacrificial love means so much. It makes Easter sunday even more awesome and incredible then it already was!

Batman vs. Superman- Dawn of Justice. Josh has been waiting literally an entire year for this movie to come out, so we decided to do a date night of movie and late dinner. Josh is the biggest Batman fan I know. The movie was pretty good. Of course, me not being an comic book fan, it was a little hard to follow the different storylines. But I got it by the end! Superman (Henry Caville) was easy on the eyes.....just sayin'. I will say, my 32 year old self is past the whole eating at 9/10 o'clock in the evening thing. Ick. I like my granny dinner time of 5:30! Ha! Isn't it funny how we become creatures of habit?

This week involved a lot of fun Easter crafts and projects. We painted some adorable bunnies and dyed eggs. Well..tried to dye eggs. I bought the fake dyeable eggs at Walmart feeling all smart with the shortcut I discovered. Not boiling a jillion eggs was nice and these wouldn't break. Only thing I didn't think about was the fact that when you put them in the cup with dye they float! Oh goodness. The tables in my room were a HOT MESS. There was dye everywhere and it really didn't stain the fake eggs. So this is my PSA- don't buy the fake eggs...stick to the real! My hands are still stained! The kids still had fun, it's really about the experience anyways. I love the little sweetie who decided to paint her bunny reeaallllyyyyy slowly...to spend time alone with me while the rest of our friends were outside. Melt.my.heart.

Spring break has officially started. Like my to-do list? YAWN. I know boring. It has to get done though. My husband snickers when he sees this list because he's betting I only do half. I'm proving you wrong buddy, just wait! I've already done our closets, so yay to crossing off one thing! That pile is just from Josh. I think he had over 100 pairs of socks hidden at the top of his closet. Seriously?!?! Goodwill got a lot of goods that Saturday. I love the Pinterest pins of organized closets. I drool but know in my heart of hearts that my closet would never look or stay that way.

I really am purging my closet to make room for a couple new cute summer dresses. I can't resist. Here are a few of my favorites from Boden. I would buy everything from their catalogue if I could! Swoon-worthy clothes for sure.

I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter weekend! Tonight we have Good Friday service and then Josh and I volunteered to chaperone the kids at the overnight lock-in at church. Easter service should be beautiful- will recap all that next week!
