Christmas Gift Giving

I thought it be fun to list a few of my favorite things for gift giving around the holidays! I get so much enjoyment out of shopping for other people. It's so fun to watch their faces when they are opening a gift that you put a lot of thought into.  In our family we tend to stay under the $50 mark, so most of these items are pretty affordable. Since we have some adorable nieces and nephew I'm including some kids items as well.

Stocking stuffers- Small and useful items are always big hit. Here are a few of my favorites.
Clockwise from top left- socks, perfume atomizer (for travel), ear buds, Stabilo pens (for doodling and hand lettering) and Volcano brand candles.

Ladies gifts- I'm a total clothes and accessories girl, so those are usually the gifts I give as well.
Clockwise from top left: Throw blankets (cause who can have too many of those?)
Scarves (ditto)
Anthropologie Dish Towels (the best and prettiest patterns)
Sparkly jewelry (for dressing up of course!)
Cozy slipper socks (one of my sister's favorite things)

Instead of generic gift cards for the ladies in your life, why not try a subscription to their favorite magazine? This is always a favorite gift for me. Birchbox is another fun gift card alternative for the beauty product junkie. For the fashionista's, give them a Stitchfix gift card! So fun!

Since my job is teaching Kindergarten, I get to see first hand which toys are a hit and which ones don't get played with as much. Mr. Potato Head? Nah. Dollhouse? Yes- boys and girls! Blocks- yes!
Art supplies are a must...I've got some really creative artists. The kitchen area is always a fun one too. I also have *SHOCKING* news. Guess how many times I've been asked by them during free time to play on an ipad? ZERO!! Good old fashioned toys still win. (Not to mention their interaction with others!)
Above are a few of my favorite kids gifts.
Blink (or UNO)- great card games for kids of all ages. If you know UNO, try Blink!
Hullabaloo (makers of Cranium)- fun game for gross motor and listening skills.
Kids magazine subscription- all ages love getting mail!
Playmobile- I loved playing with these sets as a child and was so excited to see it at Target. I bought a few sets for my kids to play with at school and they love them!

For guys...I ran out of steam. Check out Pinterest! Ha!

Enjoy shopping...I know I do!
