1. This has been a roller coaster of emotions week. Honestly...I'm glad it's over. But God is still good in the low moments. I'm feeling that peace that only he can give. Not to mention I'm blessed with the best husband in the world. Glad he's my love and best friend. We took a little time tonight and hit up the food truck Friday happening in our little downtown. It was packed! We chose to eat from a neat burrito/wrap truck, delish!
2. Today was Pumpkin day in Kindergarten. My sweet teammate Jamee and I always bring our classes together to carve, count our seeds and just have some fun! Our pumpkin had 500 seeds!! The kids were amazed. Surprisingly, no one whined about touching the pulp- brave kids!
We read a really cute book called Little Boo. It's all about a pumpkin seed that wants to be scary. Little Boo figures out that he needs to "grow up" before he can be a scary jack-o-lantern. The kiddos loved the book and this little craftivity we made.
3. Stitchfix has an app now!! Yay! I haven't ordered a fix in a while but my next one is arriving November 13th! I love that you get to load a picture of yourself, send notes direct to stylist, etc. I think the stylist seeing the client will help them choose colors and maybe styles that will fit them better. Excited to use it with my next fix!
4. My dad just got back from a trip to Japan and China. He asked if we'd like him to bring us anything as a souvenir. I noticed in a picture he text some adorable dolls dressed in traditional outfits. So I asked for one of those. Look how cute! The doll with black hair is the one he brought back for me. The other two were ones he brought back from Japan when we were little kids. My mom gave them to me. How pretty are they? I'd love to travel there with him someday!
5. Josh and I are heading to the mountains for the day tomorrow. It's probably the last good weekend to see peak foliage colors, so we are going to check it out. It's not fall until I've gone at least once! We are going to just take it easy, enjoy driving with the windows down, hike a little and listen to our favorite music. That's what I call relaxing!
Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers this week. We appreciate them all!
