Stitch Fix #4

I've been laying in bed feeling gross all afternoon- hoping that I'm not coming down with bug. Finally got some energy this evening and typed up this review. Excuse the pictures from my cell phone yesterday evening- lighting wasn't great! (Also, please excuse the unmade bed!)

This is a review of my 4th box from Stitch Fix. What fun it is to see that little box waiting on my doorstep! I decided to try Stitch Fix a while ago when I heard about it from a friend. I felt that I'm always pretty "safe" with my style choices and felt that maybe I could use a little push from a stylist. My boxes each time have been pretty reflective of my style, with some "out of my comfort zone" items thrown in. If you're interesting in trying out Stitch Fix- click my referral link below.

Here's how it works:
Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

FYI – My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

My 4th box was full of warm and cute winter weather items. Each box contains 5 items, a note from the stylist and some fun outfit suggestions for each piece.

First off- my cute little note from my stylist Mallorie. I love that she looked at my Pinterest board. I could tell she was inspired by the board with a few of the clothing items.

Item #1- Market and Spruce- Sawyer Space Dye Dolman sweater $58.00
When I opened the box, I wasn't in love with the pattern on this sweater. Dolman style tops are not always the most flattering on bigger busts either...but I gave it a whirl. I LOVED the softness and material of the sweater. I proved correct with the fit- didn't love it.
Verdict: Will be returned.

Item #2 RD Style- Vivianna Open Draped Knit Cardigan $68.00
I pulled this sweater out and immediately loved it. I've been looking for a pretty waterfall sweater to get me through the last little cold bit of winter. Plus, I have a trip planned to MI over Valentine's Weekend and this sweater would be a great addition to pack! I loved the fit and feel of this sweater. Could be worn with skinny jeans or leggings. While a bit expensive- I have some birthday money that I will put towards this.
                              Verdict: Keep!

Item #3 Octavia- Alton Herringbone Infinity Scarf $34
My addiction with scarves continues. This scarf did not disappoint! It has the cutest subtle herringbone pattern and the color is very neutral and will go with a lot of outfits! Plus, with my styling fee factored in- this scarf will only be $14! Score!
                    Verdict- OBVIOUSLY...Keep!

Item #4 Pixley- Polly Dotted Chevron Tie Waist Tunic $54
I so wanted this top to fit. Darn boobs. If you are medium to small chested, this top would be the cutest! No picture of me in it- way to snug on bust. Oh well....
                       Verdict: Return

Item #5 Rune- Porter Legging $38.00  (not pictured)
Ehhh. These leggings were not so hot. I prefer my Hue Wide Waistband leggings any day over these. They had a wide waistband but were low rise. Awful combination if you ask me.
 Verdict: Return

I'm still waiting for a "Fab Five" box where I'll love and keep all 5 pieces. I guess 2/5 isn't bad! I really enjoy trying pieces that I never would pick for myself in a store. It pushes me outside of my comfort zone. I think I will order my next box in the Spring- I'll keep you posted! If you're on the fence about trying out Stitch Fix, I encourage you to give it a try! My sister loves it so much she was getting boxes each month!

I'd love to hear from  you if you've tried Stitch Fix or  are interested in trying it!
