1. SCARVES! No surprise here-anyone who knows me at all knows that I have a love of scarves!! I love these two that I found in the Nordstrom's Juniors department. Aren't they cute?? They were on sale when I purchased them, but $20 for a nice, thick and warm scarf is a sweet deal.
2. Art Afternoons with my Mama- I love that my mom texted me to ask if I wanted a painting afternoon with her. She purchased all the supplies and we got to business. I made sure to pin some canvas ideas on Pinterest that I'd like to copy. Abstract art is the easiest (obviously) so that's what I chose to do. I made sure to choose colors that went with my home. I just adore sea foam green and blue and with pops of gold to make it a little fancy! I think it turned out pretty good. I can't decide whether to add the gold quote or just leave it as is. Tell me what you think!!
Mine is the left and the right is my Pinterest inspiration!
3. Getting FIT!!! Now I'm the last person who enjoys working out. Truly...I despise it! But I'm determined in this new year to get fit. To feel good, look good and help my overall health. I'm going to be doing the 21 Day Fix, which is diet and exercise. The ladies at school have all decided to do it as well so we have a great group to do workouts with after school. We are going to be some good looking ladies when we're done! As much as I hate working out, it is more fun when you do it with friends. Really encourages the accountability as well.
4. Travel plans- I'm so excited to be planning a trip to Detroit for Valentine's Day. I'm excited to spend time with my grandparents and family as well as meet all the new additions! Gotta love some baby love.
At dinner last night we were talking about top 5 vacations that we'd like to take in North America. Here are mine:
1. Trip to Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest
2. San Francisco/Monterey/Wine Country in California
3. Lake Powell, Arizona (and tour the awesome National Parks nearby)
4. Alaskan Cruise
5. Any Hawaiian island
5. Favorite blogs- I love my daily ritual of coming home and taking 30 minutes or so to read my favorite blogs! Here are links to a few!
This is a great fashion blog! Not high fashion of course but just regular person price range fashion!
Kelly's blog was one of the first I ever read. She's so sweet, a wonderful Chrisitian woman and a great mom. I love reading her posts.
If you are a teacher you most likely have heard of Cara Carroll. I love her units and activities on Teachers Pay Teacher and her blog is a blast to read as well. This girl is a genius. Just sayin'.
Enjoy your weekend!!
