1. Native American/Pilgrim unit sweetness- I enjoy watching my sweet students learn all about the First Thanksgiving. Their imaginations and understanding just grow more and more each day. Let's just say- they are SUPER thankful to be living today. They've discovered that their chores are not so bad after all!
2. Planning for Thanksgiving- Am I the only one who enjoys making a shopping list and planning for company? Josh thinks I'm nuts! I'm usually an Aldi shopper for most groceries and then Harris Teeter for special things. But lucky me- most of the items I will need are on sale at Harris Teeter this week! YIPPEE! Now I only have to make one trip. Can I just gush one moment about the shopping list function on the H.T website? Loved it. Just look at how nice and organized that bottom list looks! I love my All Out Of lists as well. These are always a great bridal shower or wedding gift. They LAST forever! I think you can buy them at Anthropologie and online.
3. Deep cleaning- Well I wouldn't say that this is my favorite thing but it is a necessary evil. Ugh. Cleaning is not my forte- but company coming kicks this into high gear. We cleaned out Josh's office the other day. I found out something new about my husband. He.is.a.HOARDER. You'd never know until you cleaned out his office! He had stashed away the most random things. A few things may have made it into the trash without him looking! ha! Fitting 10 people into a house with beds to sleep six is always interesting- so there will be an air mattress in the nice and organized office! The more the merrier, right?
I'm just glad I did not take a BEFORE pic!!! And please excuse the decorating. This is truly my husband's domain. I did make him order us some pretty roman shades to make it a little cozier and so our neighbors won't be looking in on us!
4. Random Target trips- Oh, what a time sapper Target trips become! Who doesn't love a good Target trip though. I could live there. But not just in a plain Target. It must be SUPER TARGET goodness. Food, Furniture, Books, Coffee, Home goods- I'm all set. Next week I'll showcase some of my favorite finds for Christmas at Target.
These two were my goofy companions on my trip there this week.
5. Dropbox- Sounds weird...but my dad loaded some old photos onto Dropbox and shared them with us this week. Talk about a Throw Back Thursday! Some were awesome and some were yikes! Since I'm a good sport, I'll share some awesome and some yikes with you. Cause you were dying to see anyhow, right? Ha!
