Stitch Fix #3

This is a review of my 3rd box from Stitch Fix. What fun it is to see that little box waiting on my doorstep! I decided to try Stitch Fix a while ago when I heard about it from a friend. I felt that I'm always pretty "safe" with my style choices and felt that maybe I could use a little push from a stylist. My boxes each time have been pretty reflective of my style, with some "out of my comfort zone" items thrown in. If you're interesting in trying out Stitch Fix- click my referral link below.

Here's how it works:
Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

FYI – My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

My 3rd box was full of fun and bright summer weather items. Each box contains 5 items, a note from the stylist and some fun outfit suggestions for each piece.

Here's my note from my stylist, Jill.

Here was the contents of my box and a description.

Item #1: Astor Ruffle Front tank $58.00
Loved the look of this tank and it fit nicely, just couldn't justify the price of an item comparable to a top I'd buy at Loft for a lot less. Bummer.
Verdict: Sending back.

Item #2: Bryan Short Sleeve Open Front Cardigan $42.00
I was so excited to try this cardigan on because it's so hard to find a light weight layer for summer. I loved the color and length but the fabric was too thin (unfortunately showing every bump and lump).
Verdict: Sending back.

Item #3: Meridian Swiss Dot Lace Detail Blouse $54.00
This was my VERY favorite item from the box. Tried it on but snug in the bust. Darn boobs! Had it been just a little roomier- this would have been a keeper!!
Verdict: REGRETTABLY, sending back.

Item #4: Ernesto Stripped Fitted Dress   $78.00
I actually do not like this style of dress. Bleh. I think my stylist saw some skirts and other patterned outfits on my pinterest board that looked like this and thought "why not?" Once I tried it on it was a definite no. Not my style.
Verdict: Sending back

Item #5: Monet Mini Facet Bib Necklace   $38.00
I adore jewelry- it's my favorite accessory. I like this necklace and it may go with quite a few outfits. This may be what I keep this time- just not sure yet. With the $20 styling fee (which turns into $20 towards any purchases) the necklace would only be $18 bucks.
Verdict: I'm on the fence!

While this box wasn't a "Fab Five" for me this time, I will continue to subscribe to Stitch Fix every couple months. In my 2nd box I kept a fabulous maxi skirt and a pretty scarf. If you give really good feedback it will help the stylists immensely!
