The big 3!

Third trimester that is! How did this pregnancy go by so fast? I keep saying I'm so excited to meet this baby boy but part of me is so sad for this pregnancy be over. I've really enjoyed being pregnant. Sure, there are some not so glamorous or fun parts but the wonderful outweighs those areas! This is a little update since I've been so neglectful of this blog of mine.

Yes, I no longer can see my feet when I look down! Ha! This baby has situated himself nice and high. Right under my ribs. Which is not always pleasant feeling. It's fun to watch him turn and somersault in there. This morning I woke up with a huge bump on my right side which I'm pretty sure was his little bottom. Josh was cracking up.

I was so blessed and spoiled by family and friends two weekends ago. I flew to Detroit for my family shower. This baby is so lucky to have such a loving family and LOTS of cousins his age to play with! My Aunt Carolyn and cousin Alyssa hosted the shower and it was so nice. Just to be able to spend time with my family was special to me, the gifts were perks! I didn't take any pictures myself (shame on me) but my friend Jenn took a few on her phone. The theme was Little Man and bowties! We had yummy soup, pretzel rolls (!!) and my favorite family cheesecake for dessert. It was so fun to watch all the newest additions to our family ( 5 of them ages almost 2 to 6 weeks old) play and interact together. Next year my grandparents will have a total of 8 great grandbabies! That will be a picture!

My cousin Alyssa and I are due two weeks apart from each other. It's been so awesome to have someone to experience and go through this pregnancy with! We are both teachers, so this summer we did lots of snap chatting, texting and calling each other. If I have questions, she's one of the first people I ask. So thankful for her! I know this baby boy will love his baby girl cousin!

School has been keeping me busy. We had a fun Superhero themed day this past Friday. I wish I could share the picture of my precious kiddos in all their gear. They took Superhero day very seriously. (Maybe too serious..lol). We did manage to snap a picture as a Kindergarten team though! The belly looks large and in charge in these pictures! Yikes! Other than being tired in the mornings, the long school day hasn't been so rough on me yet. No swollen feet or legs. The cooler weather definitely helps that cause as well. These ladies are just fabulous and I'm so blessed to teach with each of them. All of us are so different but yet work great as a team. Makes me happy to come to work each day!

We are continuing to slowly get things done in the nursery. Not much is done yet. My goal is to be finished with it by the second week of November. We'll see! This weekend I'll be hitting up IKEA for some shelving and to check out dressers and frames. Still need the crib mattress and the bumper to my bedding set and then the crib will be ready. Nesting is hitting me hard, I'm so ready to have this room done and have my sweet boy here! I go in there and sit in the rocker and just imagine all the sweet moments I'll have with our baby! So many prayers have and continue to be answered and I'm eternally grateful. God is so good.

That's pretty much all the update I have for you right now! Thanks for always reading, praying and cheering us on in this journey!
