What's Up Wednesday (a week early but long overdue!)

What We're Eating This Week
I have good intentions to cook most of this week. We did pretty good so far. Last night we had a lasagna (not homemade unfortunately). We had yummy steak and veggie kabobs with peirogies tonight and I have grilled flank steak and chicken planned for the rest of the week. It's so nice that it's summer and the grill can be used each night! It really cuts down the cleaning up time after cooking.
Here's some pinterest recipes I have my eye on trying soon.
Bacon Cheddar Quiche (looks very yummy)

Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops

What I'm Reminiscing About...
Josh and I celebrated 7 years of marriage today. I always think about all the ways that God has blessed our marriage and it makes me so grateful. God chose the perfect guy for me! Excited to see what this year has in store for us!

What I'm Loving.......
I had flower duty at church on Sunday and I used some pretty hydrangeas from my parents yard and some pretty tulips from Trader Joe's. Fun thing about doing flowers is I was able to bring them home and they are now gracing my kitchen table. I love fresh flowers!

It's fun to get a summer time treat from the local Dairy Queen. Laughing with this guy is something I love a lot!

What We've Been Up To.....
Danielle and I went to the Rascal Flatts concert on Friday night. That was some fun people watching. Ha! The music was good even though I hardly knew any of it! Country isn't a genre I usually listen too. But those guys can definitely sing and I had fun belting out, "Life is a Highway...".

My dilemma most days. Ha! Going out in 90 degree heat just doesn't appeal to me. I did end up going the other day, made it an hour and then got rained out! I do love the pool in our neighborhood because it's literally dead in the mornings. It's so peaceful to have the pool all to myself.

Just look at those dark clouds rolling in...yikes!

I also started a part time job at The Red Barn Marketplace in Denver. If you're local and haven't checked it out yet, please come by! They have the cutest home goods and decorative items.

What I'm Dreading...
Nothing!

What I'm Working On.....
I have some painting projects on the horizon. Hopefully we can get it done by the end of the summer. My to do list is pretty long! ha! I love the color Sea Salt by Sherman Williams.
SW 6204 Sea Salt I love how it can morph from gray to blue to green depending on the time of day and lighting. The best part, though, is that it’s a beautiful, soothing color even in fluorescent lighting:

What I'm Excited About (and looking forward to next month)...
I'm super excited thinking about about the fun things July has in store! There's the wedding of a friend and a long weekend getaway to Michigan to celebrate my father in law's 60th birthday! It'll be so nice to have all the family in one place. Seeing the nieces and nephews always bring us so much happiness. Especially a little 3 year old boy who loves his Uncle "Batman". We have plans to watch the Charlotte Symphony and enjoy fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend. July is always a fun month!

What I'm Watching/Reading....
I've been really into watching The Office on Netflix. I never really watched it when it was on tv but have discovered it lately. So funny! All the characters are a hoot. I just finished reading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. Great book. I wanted to read it before seeing the movie. Let's just say don't watch this without having tissues with you.
Image result for me before you

What I'm Listening To.......
I've been playing the Beach Boys station on Pandora. Sweet summer time!

What I've Been Wearing.....
I bought a couple cute swing dresses from Loft. So comfy! I figured they can be dressed up or down and also worn with leggings in the fall. Love multi-use fashion!

What I'm Doing This Weekend.....
We are hosting our youth group this weekend. Plans are to spend all day Saturday enjoying the lake. Tubing, swimming and just spending time together. We have such a great group of youth, God has big plans for each one of them!

Finally got a new laptop, so I'll hopefully get back to regular blogging! I've really missed it!
