What's Up Wednesday

What we're eating this week....
This one is funny. Not much cooking going on so far. I do plan on making a batch of Cheeseburger and Chicken Noodle soups to eat and another of each to freeze. Nothing like crockpot cooking on a nice fall day! The Cheeseburger soup may sound weird but it is delicious. I always sneak way more veggies into it then the recipe calls for.
Cheeseburger Soup-Made this last night...very tasty. I made a cheesy white sauce out of the butter, flour, milk, and cheese and used real cheddar cheese instead of velveeta. I started this on the stove, them put in crockpot to finish cooking and added the white sauce just before serving.:

What I'm Reminiscing About...
Honestly...not much.

What I'm Loving.......
The beautiful bit of sun we had today! We've had what seems like 2 weeks of straight rainy days. I'm a girl who enjoys the random rainy day but come on! I would never make it in Washington! I had a doctor's appointment this morning (more about that later) and as I drove home the sun came out. I walked into my classroom to the sweet adoring smiles of my sweeties and promptly told them that we were going out to recess....regardless of muddy shoes! We all needed some time in the sun!

What We've Been Up To...
It's been a busy September. I hope October slows down a bit. Josh has some big projects to accomplish at work and I'm heading into parent teacher conference season..so our weeks are going to be crazy for a while. Plus, it's been so rainy that all we want to do is be cozy in our jammies at home! I've been taking tons of meds that make me feel like I'm walking around with Mono...so dead tired! My kids asked me the other day why I'm yawning so much! Ha!

What I'm Dreading....
I know I said that I was going to do it in the summer...but I didn't. My first trip to the dentist this year is next week. I just know I have cavities. All my girlfriends that have had kids tell me that I should go before I can't take the lovely pain meds anymore. I do not want to feel them DRILLING in my mouth without pain medication! Please pray for me that maybe by God's grace I won't have any cavities?!

What I'm Working On....
I've been totally slack in my fall decorating. It's on my list for this weekend. I bought a few pumpkins at the farmers market two weeks ago and I need to finish my dining table arrangement with them. I found a few pictures of mantles I loved on Pinterest. Figured I'd share! (Clearly I like bunting. Any kind of bunting.)

What I'm Excited About...
I'm excited about lots of things! Looking forward to taking beautiful fall drives around town and maybe take a trip to Blowing Rock or Asheville. We also have our annual Fall Into Worship evening planned at church. It's such a wonderful night of music and fellowship...and we are having a bonfire with s'mores! I bet I had you at s'mores!

Gatlinburg, Tennessee, my home away from home, the Smokey Mountains. ( everyone HONKS the horn on the truck when going though to say : HELLO !:

What I'm Watching/Reading...
All my favorites are back on tv! We love Modern Family, Fresh off the Boat and The Goldberg's. I'm also going to check out Newsroom and Scandal on Netflix. In all my spare time...since I have so much of that! ha! All I've read lately is Junie B Jones and Ramona books...oh and Southern Living magazine. I need some good book recommendations. I'd like to read some for fun...got any for me?

What I'm Listening To.....
This song! Chris Tomlin has a new live Christmas album coming out and he released a single. It's on REPEAT all day. In my car, at my house...in my head! I hum it all day at school. The chorus just stays with you all day. Check it out in the video below.

What I'm Wearing...
Lots of cuffed pants and dresses! Weather is so unpredictable! Ugh!
I did bust out my first scarf and boots on Sunday! Yay!

What I'm doing this weekend...
Sleeping, decorating, cooking and cleaning. Story of my life. Maybe some sewing too, we'll see.

What I'm looking forward to next month...
Since next month is tomorrow, this is easy! Next week we have our FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) scheduled. HALLELUJAH! I'm taking two days off from work, one for the procedure and one day to just take it easy. I would love if if you would say some extra prayers for us next week. I'm super nervous and know I'll be biting my nails extra (such a bad habit...I know). After that you may not hear much from me on the baby front for a while. I think it'd be kind of nice to pretend I'm a normal person and spread the news of a future baby in a fun way. Even though we will find out sooner than normal if it's resulted in pregnancy, we still want to keep it to ourselves for a while! I know ya'll will understand! Thank you, thank you for all the prayers and well wishes. Every person who's texted, wrote notes and just given me a hug and their well wishes have touched my heart more then you know. To have such supportive family and friends is such a blessing to us!

Thanks for reading!! Enjoy the rest of your week!
