We are finally in the end zone. T-minus 4 days until the delivery of these sweet baby girls! It feels like this last month has CRAWLED but now it's going fast. We finished up the nursery (will post nice camera pics as soon as I take some) and have set up our pack-n-plays, swings, changing stations etc. all over our house. We are ready as ready can be!
Today is my last visit with my doctors and I'm excited to hear their weights and how they look in preparation for my c-section on Monday. My birthday is Sunday, so the girls will be my belated birthday presents! I'm very nervous about the c-section but I know that God has me in his hand and that I have the best medical care possible. My prayer and hope is that Audrey, Kate and Claire come out without any major health concerns and that we have very little time needed in the NICU.
Pregnancy with multiples has not been easy. I know people say I look so good/tiny/etc. but until you have three babies in your belly you cannot even fathom the discomfort. I'm thankful everyday for the life inside of me but I'm also thankful that they are coming out soon!! I'm sure they are squished and uncomfortable as well. Ha!
I bought them their baptism gowns already. So sweet. The bonnet even has the tiny rosebud on it.
I'm actually more worried about the boys than bringing home the girls. The hospital is on restriction for kids under 13, so I will not be able to see my boys for almost a week (I will be staying 4 days). I think Henry may have a hard time with that. He is so excited to meet his sisters and help get diapers, push stroller, bring them toys. We talk about it every night before he goes to bed. Graham is still clueless but here's to hoping he's not too jealous!
My sweet sister made me this awesome board to track feedings/diaper changes and she also made me another board to keep track of help coming and going and also to write down needs we have so visitors know what they can help with.
To all our family and friends that are wanting to help, I will be creating a little online calendar that says what help we need with times, etc. and also will include meal sign ups. We are indebted to all of you for loving our family so well.
Be on the lookout for an announcement Monday! Prayers are very appreciated!
Michelle, you are just glowing! Can't wait to see all of you! 😘
ReplyDeleteYou will need that board! Great idea, Danielle. When I ran my daycare, I had to write down everything if I had more than one infant. You will be glad you have that.
