What's Up Wednesday- October edition

What We're Eating This Week...

Yummy comfort foods! Lasagna, Chicken Broccoli Rice casserole, French Toast Casserole and Tacos! (Basically anything that is quick or prepare ahead items! ha!)

I've never made lasagna from scratch. Is it easy? I'm a old Stouffer's die hard. It's good. Probably not the healthiest....oh well.

What I'm Reminiscing About...

This time last year I had just announced being pregnant with Graham. Also..how cute was this chunkster? It doesn't even look like him anymore. Babies sure grow fast.

What I'm Loving...

Fall arrived! Finally! Cooler temps! Fun traditions with friends!

Jamee and I have carved pumpkins together with our classes for 6 years. Love sweet traditions with an even sweeter friend. (I can't comment on if our carving skills have improved though...ha!)

What We've Been Up To...

We've basically been trying to stay healthy. I think every week since the beginning of September there has been some sort of illness floating through our house. I'm knocking on wood that this week seems ok...but then of course, both boys get teeth. Ugh. I guess we are building up our immunity early! We visited Aunt Danielle and Uncle Blake and went to the NC State Fair! It was so fun- will definitely be making it a tradition. Henry was IN LOVE with the tractors and about lost his mind every time we tried to get him off. #toddlerdrama
Josh tackled Henry's Fall festival all by himself with both boys. It's hard to have both by yourself. It's getting easier but whew. You are sweating by the time you are home.

What I'm Dreading...
The time change. Falling back used to be my favorite. Now it's going to be pitch dark at 5:30 and my kids will still wake up at 6:00 a.m!

What I'm Excited About...

My fun Grove Collaborative goodies! My good friend Jenn told me gave me some goodies from Grove and introduced me to this company. You can buy all kinds of all natural and better for you cleaning products/household products, etc. online and have them shipped to your house! I've found the prices to be comparable and even cheaper than most stores.  The little white European dish clothes are basically like reusable paper towels and they are so sturdy. Bonus- you can throw them in the dishwasher to sanitize them!

What I'm Watching/Reading...

Still have not jumped back on the reading bandwagon. I'm just to tired and when I start to read at night I immediately fall asleep.
Kids books in constant nightly rotation currently are:
The Pokey Little Puppy (a Golden books classic)
Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site
Llama, Llama Red Pajama
Bear Counts On
Vegetables Wear Underwear
The Christmas Story

Josh and I have started watching the new season of "How to Make a Murderer" on Netflix. I'm only one episode in so far but we loved season 1 so hopefully this one is just as good.

What I'm Listening To...

Ya'll...if you haven't listened to Jen Hatmaker before, she's awesome. Her podcast "For the Love" is one of my favorites. She interviews some really fun people!  I also love listening to Rachel and Dave Hollis in the "Rise Together" podcast. Love the dynamic of the husband/wife team.

What I'm Wearing...
I ordered the dress below on Amazon. I hope it's as cute as in the picture! I've been wearing a lot of peplum tops and other sweaters that I haven't worn in 2 years! First fall in a while that I haven't been pregnant! Ha! Josh keeps asking me if I've been shopping and I say to him that I've been shopping in my closet. It's all new again. I do need to get some new skinny pants. Apparently pant styles have changed a tiny bit in 3 years and all I have are straight leg. Ha!

What I'm Doing This Weekend...

We are meeting up with Shanti (SClancy Photography) to take Graham's six month pictures and some family ones as well. I'm hoping the boys cooperate and are their smiley selves so she can get some good ones! I love to have these precious pictures to freeze time just a little bit.

What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

Thanksgiving and our family vacation to Siesta Key! This will be our first true vacation as a family and we are so excited! My parents and siblings will be there as well and I know it will be a week that a lot of memories are made. Siesta Key is one of my favorite places to vacation and we've been going there since I was a kiddo myself!
