Happy Saturday morning to ya'll! It's a beautiful day outside and Josh is out working on the yard and I've gotten the house cleaned up so I have a little time to blog about the past week or so.
Birthdays
May is a busy month in our family! My mom, sister, brother and mother in law are all in May not to mention Mother's Day is thrown in there. My brother surprised my mom by flying in the Monday after Mother's Day. We all went out to eat together at The Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed each other's company!
My sister turned 29 this year...last year of her 20's! She's so caring, creative, fun and full of life not to mention her big heart for Christ and our church. I'm going to share a few favorite photographs that I have of her. I am blessed to call her my sister!
Time with family
Josh's cousins Jake and Miranda were visiting for Mother's Day. After an afternoon of yard work we drove over to his Aunt Michele and Uncle Ken's house to spend some time with everyone. We got to meet sweet Maizey- what a darling baby girl she is! I love her little expressions and her giggle. Babies bring such joy to families!
Home Stretch- Last weeks of School
I'm actually very sad just thinking about this school year ending. This class of kiddos has been such a joy to teach. They make coming to work each day so fun. I love their creativity in art and writing and they are rocking their reading and math too! Excited to be learning about Insects and Dinosaurs in these last couple weeks. I'm also trying some cute new end of year celebration ideas. I'll let you know how those go!
You've got to love this little one's reasons why he loves pigs! I would have put bacon before pork chops though!
This cracked me up! It's true though...I have to come prepared with my "A" game! My kinders are up and ready to go the minute school starts. They ask really inquisitive questions, so I have to be on my toes!
Master Bedroom Updates
I've been wanting an upholstered headboard for a LONG time and Josh finally broke down and let me order one! I love it! We also stopped at the Ballard Designs Outlet in Atlanta a few weeks ago and I was able to pick up some new euro shams and duvet cover. All this room needs now is some paint (for the love of all that is good...please let's paint soon, Joshua!!!) and a cute "sunbursty" type of art to hang over the headboard.
Something like these:
Anyhow, here are some pictures of my real master bedroom.
