Stitch Fix #5

As I drove home from school today I passed the mailman. What did I see through his window? My Stitchfix box! I was super stoked and you better bet I waited by my door until he pulled up. He probably thought I was a weirdo.

This is a review of my 5th box from Stitch Fix. What fun it is to see that little box waiting on my doorstep! I decided to try Stitch Fix a while ago when I heard about it from a friend. I felt that I'm always pretty "safe" with my style choices and felt that maybe I could use a little push from a stylist. My boxes each time have been pretty reflective of my style, with some "out of my comfort zone" items thrown in. If you're interesting in trying out Stitch Fix- click my referral link below.

well I'm going to start this post by being very honest. This fix was more a miss than a hit this time unfortunately. All my past fixes have been more reflective of my style and what I've asked for. Something I will do next time is request a stylist that I've had before.  I had asked for some fun tops, dresses and maxi skirts for spring. This time I think the stylist just didn't get me. I felt like she didn't really look at my Style Pinterest board, I just don't know. Anyhow..without further ado, here's what I got! (No pictures of me in the clothes..sorry.)

Item #1: Papermoon- Remmie Geo Print Maxi Skirt $58.00
I did ask a for cute maxi skirt and that is what I got. This is pretty self explanatory..will look cute styled as it is portrayed in the style card. Excited to wear it!
Verdict- keep!

Item #2: Renee C- Genevieve Abstract Dot Print Blouse $38.00
I so wanted this cute top to fit. It's the cutest dotted top I've ever seen and the style card has it paired with the cutest items not to mention it's price tag is pretty great. This did not fit over the bust (always my issue) so it's going back. I'm a bit sad. I think in my comments when ordering my next fix  I will ask for this top again, but in the next size larger.
Verdict- return.

Item #3: Staccato- Mauricio Drape Cardigan $44.00
While it's a very pretty sweater, it's not at all what I asked for. April in North Carolina can be hot! This sweater is pretty thick and would be more appropriate for springtime up north somewhere but not here.
    Verdict- return.

Item #4: Pixley- Ohara Faux Wrap Tie-Waist Dress $68.00
Anyone else think the word "faux" is funny looking? I always have to look twice when I spell that word. This dress was super cute and I loved the fun chevron print. I own a few wrap dresses but not in this cute color. When I tried it on, I realized the fabric is quite thin and showed every bump or lump. While I've lost a bit of weight and toned up a lot- I still have work to do and I'd rather my problem areas not be showcased.
 Verdict- return.

Item #5: Renee C- Bali Keyhole Blouse $44.00
I.am.speechless. Some people might rock this blouse, just not me! I absolutely hate the print. It reminds me of a dress I had as a little girl. Also, when I put it on it is shorter on the sides then the front or back. Like a cropped top length. Just weird.
 Verdict- return.

Yes- I'm pretty bummed to only be keeping one item from this fix. I guess you win some and you lose some. My experience with my past fixes has been wonderful, so I will still use this service. Stitchfix has recently added Maternity to their service so preggo friends check it out!
