Here's my five favorites from this week!
1. Finishing my Christmas decorations- I didn't really go all out with decorations this year- kept it pretty simple. I'm actually loving it. Honestly, if all we had was the tree it would still be all good!
2. Sweet memories from school: I have to share a few of the sweetest and funny things that my littles have said lately.
(while listening to "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" on the radio)
Child: "Mrs. Lindstedt?"
Me: "Yes ______."
Child: "Why does it say 'Jingle Bell time, it's a swell time..' Swell is something your face does and that's not good!"
Me:(giggle)
The next one is even cuter. I was outside in the hall hanging some work at the end of the day. One of my kiddos came running out in the hall saying, "Mrs. Lindstedt- the interstate came on!" What she had meant was the "intercom" had come on in my room! Gotta love their little word mix ups!
And lastly a little glimpse into our discussion on wants and needs.
I think they get it!
Love that he "wants" a brother!
3. Christmas Cards- Probably my favorite decoration besides the tree. I love displaying the sweet faces of family and loved ones during this season! Every time I look at them I smile! My cool wire hanger was a purchase from Willow Tree many years ago. Not sure if Willow tree company even exists anymore. It was a great purchase- it doesn't usually fit all the cards we get though! I always say that at the end of the holiday I will hole punch each card and put them on a ring- a-la-Pinterest. We'll see! I'm including a picture of our Christmas card as well- wish I could send one to each of you!
(Pinterest idea!)
4. Birthdays- I'm so thankful for my sweet dad. It's his birthday today! I'm blessed to have my father in my life. He is such a wonderful mentor, spiritual leader of our family and just an all around great guy. He takes such good care of each of us and I pray that God blesses him so richly in this coming year.
5. Coffee- Yes, I said coffee. I'm apparently addicted. I love one creamer and one cream only. Coldstone's Sweet Cream. Yum. Feeling like one now actually....
