The Lindstedts are still alive over here. Survived our first stomach bug (whole family...yikes) and hope to not get sick ANYMORE this year. I bought all the elderberry/vitamins/probiotics I could find for all of us. Will be taking them on the regular. Having sick babies is no fun!
I ordered Henry some new rain boots in his size on Zulily a few weeks ago. They arrived and this kiddo was in LOVE. He wore them nonstop for the first hour he got them. Is there anything cuter than a kid in rain boots? Red ones to boot (no pun intended). Being a Beverly Cleary's Ramona Quimby fan, red rain boots always reminds me of one of the scenes from her book. Henry is not quite as much of a mess as Ramona but I'm sure we are on our way. Ha!
Sweet Graham turned 6 months this week. A post dedicated to his six month is coming soon. This baby is the happiest baby ever. His slobbery kisses are my favorite. He's the happiest when he's in the sling and can see everything that I'm doing. He's my "mamas boy" and I love every minute of it.
He cut his first tooth this week too. Bottom front left. Frozen waffles have been a favorite. Poor baby-stomach bug and first tooth the same week.
Uncle David and Aunt Brooke popped in for a visit. They got to pick Henry up from school and he was so excited to see Uncle David! David said going into the room with all the toddlers was hilarious. He said 20 kids were immediately flocked around his feet. Ha! Even though it was a quick visit, I'm so glad that my kiddos get to know their aunt and uncle. For memories sake- Henry calls David "Day Day" and Brooke "Gookie".
It's so funny to watch Graham and Henry love on each other. Graham has a good grip. Henry likes it for a little while and then he typically pushes his hands away. Or lets just keep it real- pushes him over. Ha! We are working on being patient and gentle with his brother.
I ventured out with both boys myself on Saturday. Just a BJ's, Trader Joe's and Target run. It's not like I've never taken them out before but for a long morning of errands, usually I go by myself or have Josh along. They were both rock stars though and I was so relieved. I'm sure the car shopping cart helped my situation (at least for a little while). It was pretty comical to try and load my large quantity of paper towels/toilet paper/diapers etc into my cart while having a baby strapped to me and wrangling a toddler. I did get a lot of "Bless her heart" comments said in my direction. Second runner up to that is always the comment "You've got your hands full" to which I answer, "and my heart is full too"! The joys of having 15 month apart kiddos out in public. I have to offer myself and them grace when we are out and about. I find that the calmer I am in stressful situations, the better they handle it as well.
We had some fun mornings of super early wake ups. This video sums it up. Ha!
Thanks for sticking around and reading this boring post! Ha! I've been in a little bit of a blogging rut here lately but have so many ideas and fun things I want to share. I've been cataloging some favorite things I've bought/used/cooked, etc lately to use in a post soon. Especially since holidays are coming. Plus- it's FALL! My favorite time of year is here. Here's to hoping NC weather gets the memo that the season has changed soon!
